A good Digital Voice Recorder comes in handy, I use this one for when I need to take notes or just throw ideas out for the book I’m working on.
Now some of the mystery shops require a recording in that case I recommend the digital recorder with a Flash card.
It’s small discrete if your a girl you could clip it to your bra, if your a guy remove the tie clip take a twist tie wrap it at the base of the microphone and then wrap it around the button to the shirt your wearing, I recommend you do this to the button below the top one so the microphone doesn’t show and with the tie clip removed you don?t have the tale tell bump. Please remember to only use this when it is legal to do so. Such as when the mystery shopping company tells you they need audio and the employees at the location signed a waver.
You should also look at a digital camera and Memory stick like these Olympus Digital Voice Recorder (VN 6200PC)
Now you?ll likely want to keep spare batteries in your kit, a couple extra memory cards can come in handy. I like to keep my mystery shopping stuff on a USB drive loaded with Firefox portable, Thunderbird portable, and Key pass portable.
